Professor Iain Martin

Vice-Chancellor

Professor Iain Martin is Vice-Chancellor of Deakin University. Prior to taking up his appointment in 2019, Professor Martin was Vice-Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University.

Before becoming Vice-Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University, Professor Martin was Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic at the University of New South Wales from 2012 to 2016. He spent the previous 12 years at the University of Auckland where he was Head of Surgery, Dean of the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Strategic Engagement, with responsibility for external and international engagement.
