Jo is a highly experienced communications expert who has worked for some of the best names in the business. As our resident writer and case for support developer, she forges connections between organisations and donors through the power of the written word.

Jo currently leads the student communications work at the University of Exeter. She has previously held roles in corporate communications for two prestigious organisations, the University of Exeter and Eton College. She has used her communications expertise across fundraising, stakeholder engagement and change management projects.

Jo got her start as a journalist, firstly on newspapers, before moving into radio and television for both the BBC and ITV.

Now an in-demand freelance writer, Jo has written everything from fundraising materials to news stories, annual reports to glossy magazines, social media posts to leadership speeches.
