Following a career in scientific research as a biologist, Gavin transitioned into the commercial sector, first in retail and e-commerce, before moving into the hospitality industry, where he applies hypothesis-driven research methods and data analytics to subjects including marketing, pricing, web-design and forecasting.

As someone who is passionate about how data and human intuition, knowledge and motivation can work together to produce something special, Gavin uses data science and AI to augment sector-expert experience to provide actionable insight that can inform strategy. 

As a former lecturer who understands the often-conflicting demands and pressures on universities, combined with the experiences of several years in the private sector where return on investment always impacts thinking, but where it's people and relationships that can make or break a campaign, Gavin always enjoys working with new partners and diving into the data.
