Barbara Brown

Trustee, Breast Cancer Now

Barbara was appointed as a Trustee of Breast Cancer Care in March 2018 after she had volunteered and been involved in a variety of fundraising events and on The Show Scotland fundraising committee for many years.  She was appointed as a Trustee of Breast Cancer Now in April 2019. She is also Chair of the Board's People & Culture Committee.

In her professional career Barbara is currently a partner at Positive Momentum Ltd, a Management Consultancy Practice.

Previously Barbara spent 30+ years as a banker and invoice financier. She held senior leadership roles at The Royal Bank of Scotland, latterly as Regional Managing Director of RBS Invoice Finance and Ulster Bank in Northern Ireland.

As an avid enabler of business growth, Barbara is an Enterprise Partner at Strathclyde University and supports the business mentorship programme at Business Women Scotland. Barbara also supports the entrepreneurial Scottish Edge programme, regularly sitting on their judging panels
